Evowall explores new technologies in China to advance industrialised construction

3 de November de 2026 | Evowall

How can automation, robotics and artificial intelligence help transform the way we build? With this vision in mind, Evowall has taken part in the ConTech Mission to China 2026, organised by Barcelona ConTech Hub – ITeC with the support of ACCIÓ.

From 19 to 23 October, the mission brought together a delegation of Catalan companies on a tour of Beijing, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Eloi Tarrés, CEO of Evowall, represented the company, gaining first-hand insight into how technology, research and production are integrated within some of China’s major industrial ecosystems.

From research to the factory

The programme included visits to China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) and its Integrated Modular Construction (MiC) factory in Shenzhen, where the delegation had the opportunity to observe its production processes and the scale of its industrial operations.

The visit to the China Academy of Building Research (CABR) provided an insight into applied research in the construction sector. The agenda also included meetings with companies specialising in robotics, artificial intelligence, digital twins, automation and advanced manufacturing.

In Hong Kong, the programme continued with visits to Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP), the Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) and the Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre (CITAC), offering an insight into how technological developments are brought into industrial application.

Knowledge and connections for a new stage

For Evowall, this experience comes at a stage of growth focused on expanding its industrial capacity and scaling up its construction system. Learning about different manufacturing processes and connecting with the people responsible for them provides an opportunity to explore technologies and collaborations that could contribute to this development.

“We are returning from China with ideas, contacts and new opportunities. We want to go back, accompanied by other companies from our sector, with a more focused agenda that will allow us to explore technologies, industrial processes and potential collaborations in greater depth.”

The mission thus opens up new avenues of work for the company, with the aim of following up on the contacts established and exploring solutions that can help drive digitalisation, automation and industrialised construction forward.
